Wait...Are there More Avengers Set to Appear in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'?

Have Marvel and Joss Whedon been keeping something from us in regards to Avengers: Age of Ultron? Of course, they aren't going to go ahead and reveal everything about the upcoming summer blockbuster, and chances are it will be full of unexpected Easter Eggs for eagle-eyed fans to look for. But is it possible that an actual member of the Avengers hasn't been revealed yet? All signs are pointing to that being the case.

Okay, so it begins with Latino Review's El Mayimbe who dropped this on his Instagram account...

#MASSIVE #MARVEL #RUMOR RT! All the#AVENGERS in #AgeofUltron are accounted for...except ONE. Any guesses?

You'd be forgiven for shrugging that off given the 50/50 nature of most LR rumors, but when Joss Whedon confirms it himself....well, that's another story. During an interview for Marvel.com, Whedon was asked if there would be other characters who aren't part of the previews, and his simple answer was "Yes".

Any ideas? Could it be Spider-Man who is now under the Marvel umbrella? Or maybe he's referring to a character we know is on the way, like Black Panther or Dr. Strange? Or, and this is the most exciting option, maybe he's talking about someone we're not expecting? Maybe Captain Marvel, who has her own solo film arriving in 2018? She has to debut some time, right? Or could it be another character entirely?

Lots to speculate on speculate away! Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1st. You can watch Whedon's interview below, followed by a new TV spot.
