Next month Hailee Steinfeld will be killin' em dead with her voice in Pitch Perfect 2, but this summer she'll be trained to kill in a completely different way. She'll be starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Alba, Sophie Turner, and more in the action-comedy, Barely Lethal, and a killer new trailer has arrived.
Steinfeld plays Megan Walsh, a young girl trained since birth to be an international assassin. Being a mercenary gets old real quick, and when Megan decides to live a normal life she fakes her own death and enrolls in high school, which turns out to be harder than she thought. The film was initially hit with an R-rating but appealed and got it dropped to PG-13, but it should tell you this won't just be a bunch of laughs.
Directed by Kyle Newman (Fanboys), and co-staring Dan Fogler, Jaime King, and Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), Barely Lethal opens in theaters on May 29th, but debuts on DirecTV on April 30th.
