The film that really began Bradley Cooper's march to legitimacy (he was in the early McConaughey boat for awhile there) was the 2011 thriller, Limitless. The film was a modest success, and a couple of years ago plans were set in motion to turn it into a TV series. Cooper wouldn't be starring in it but he would serve as an exec-producer, and judging by the show's first trailer he's going to at least be making sporadic appearances.
Cooper reprises his role of Eddie Morra from the first film in the trailer, which centers on new guy Brian Finch, played by Jake McDorman. When offered the brain-stimulating drug NZT by Morra, Finch uses his super-intellect to solve crimes, because EVERYTHING on CBS must be a crime procedural. Hey, they've got a lot of ex-CSI hours to fill.
Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter co-stars, with The Amazing Spider-Man's Marc Webb directing the pilot. Look for Limitless to air this fall.
