Couldn't make heads or tails of Cloud Atlas? Confused (or just bored?) by Jupiter Ascending? Well, wait until you get a load of the first trailer for Sense8, the Wachowskis' upcoming Netflix series which looks like some off-the-wall shit.
Starring Naveen Andrews, Bae Doona, Daryl Hannah, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Aml Ameen, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Frank Dillane, and Joe Pantoliano, the 12-episode series centers on a group of eight people with strange powers who are connected by a terrible vision. The synopsis might explain it better:
The series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.
Yeah, okay. Sense8 hits Netflix on June 5th.
