CW's Flash/Arrow Spinoff 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' gets Full Season Order

Only a day after CBS picked up Greg Berlanti's Supergirl for series, CW has gone ahead and done the same thing for his long-developing spinoff of The Flash and Arrow, which has officially been titled DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The show's cast is comprised of a strange mix of heroes and villains from both series, along with a few newcomers, and now the synopsis reveals why:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

The series stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, alongside Victor Garber as Martin Stein; Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl; Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson; Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave and Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, and Caity Lotz in a mystery role since her Black Canary character was killed off on The Flash. But if this is truly a time travel series wouldn't that make her available to return? [Deadline]
