New Version of 'The Fugitive' is in the Works

It's rare nowadays for a chase thriller to get the kind of acclaim as The Fugitive. It's even rarer for a TV series to be adapted into a feature film that turns out to be even better. But 22 years have passed since that Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones thriller took home 7 Academy Awards, and now Warner Bros. is looking to revive it.

The studio has set Christina Hodson (Shut In) to begin work scripting a new installment of The Fugitive, whatever that means. Is it a reboot? We've already had one sequel, US Marshalls, but few liked it and they may be looking to ignore that one. And what about Ford and Jones? Would they return? Is Richard Kimble going on the run again?

Production may begin next year but first they need to find a director. Expect to hear more on this soon. [Deadline]
