First Trailer and Poster for Pixar's Prehistoric Adventure 'The Good Dinosaur'

Kids have always been fascinated by dinosaurs, and why wouldn't they be? They're incredible creatures that existed in a time long before any of us existed, yet we still see aspects of them in the animals of today. For better or for worse, dinosaurs are now most closely associated with Jurassic Park, and in this summer's Jurassic World we'll see them run amok and tear humanity to shreds. But how about a nicer, more friendly look at dinosaurs with Pixar's upcoming film, The Good Dinosaur?

The first teaser for the anticipated film has been released, introducing us to the high concept, yet still very fun premise that the dinosaurs never went extinct. The story branches out from that idea, and follows an intelligent Apatosaurus named Arlo who gets separated from his family and must find his way back to them. Along the way he'll encounter a friendly neanderthal named Spot. Basically, the dinosaurs have evolved to be smart like we are now, while the cavemen are like animals. Frances McDormand, Neil Patrick Harris, John Lithgow, Judy Greer, Lucas Neff, and Bill Hader provide the voices.

Pixar has encountered a few issues with the production, removing previous director Bob Peterson and replacing him with a braintrust led by director Peter Sohn. The release date has been bumped around as a result, eventually landing on November 25th.
