Melissa Benoist Eyes 'The Oxford'; Vera Farmiga and America Ferrera are 'Special Correspondents'
Suddenly Melissa Benoist is circling multiple projects around Hollywood since being named as the star of CBS' Supergirl series. She's now considering the female lead in The Oxford, which has an offer out to Theo James (Divergent) for the male lead. Benoist would play a college student studying abroad in England, who falls in love with her young British professor. Their relationship is complicated when she learns he has leukemia. No director has been set for this one yet but an army of writers have already tackled the screenplay. [TheTrackingBoard]
