When rumors of a Terminator 5 first began to surface, one possible storyline had Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as a human guardian to Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke). He would not only be her protector but the inspiration for the T-800 Terminator that would eventually come to kill her. That didn't pan out exactly in Terminator Genisys, but some elements of that idea remain. Schwarzenegger definitely isn't human, but he's also not out to kill Sarah Connor. Instead, the job of terminating her has fallen to her son, John Connor (Jason Clarke), who has always been portrayed as a hero. Confused? Well that's exactly what Paramount and director Alan Taylor are hoping for.
The latest clip from Terminator Genisys expands on the bus-flipping bridge scene in which Sarah, Arnold's T-800, and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) are on the run. Included is a featurette that clarifies the nature of Arnold's character this time around.
