Chris Evans Rescues Alice Eve in Trailer for His Directorial Debut, 'Before We Go'

Whether he's Captain America or the lead in a romantic comedy, Chris Evans is perfectly suited for playing the dashing hero. It's as the former that audiences tend to love him most, however, and Evans began to take issue with the lack of attention his non-Marvel projects were getting. For a time he talked about moving on once his Marvel contract was up, and to focus more on directing the kinds of films he's always wanted to make. While he's backed off on that idea a little bit, Evans did take some time to make his directorial debut with the romance Before We Go, and with the film hitting homes tomorrow a new trailer has been released.

Directed by Evans who co-stars alongside Alice Eve (She's Out of My League), the film was formerly titled 1:30 Train and centers on a woman who is robbed while trying to make the train from New York back to Boston. Lost in the underbelly of the Big Apple with nobody and no one, she meets a handsome man who helps her get to the next day safely. Here's the complete synopsis:

BEFORE WE GO, the directorial debut of Chris Evans, follows the journey of two strangers stuck in New York City for the night. Starting as convenient acquaintances, the two soon grow into each other’s most trusted confidants when a night of unexpected adventure forces them to confront their fears and take control of their lives.

One night and two beautiful people on a romantic adventure. Doesn't look like what anyone would expect Captain America to be doing when he's not saving the world, does it? Before We Go hits VOD on July 21st and theaters a month later.
