Phil Lord and Chris Miller have had the Midas touch with everything they've done, which is why they're mentioned for a number of projects. Last fall they became attached to an adaptation of Graeme Simsion's book, The Rosie Project, which would be developed for the screen as a romantic drama penned by Scott Weber and Michael Neustadter (The Fault In our Stars). Lord and Miller are no longer involved as they'll be busy with a Han Solo spinoff film, but an even bigger name has stepped in as the film's star.
According to THR, Jennifer Lawrence will star in The Rosie Project, which centers on a socially inept genetics professor who comes up with the Wife Project, an evidence-based survey system to help find his perfect mate. When he meets Rosie, who has all of the qualities he specifically tried to exclude, he comes to discover she may end up being just what he needs.
