Over the last couple of weeks Leslie Bibb has been teasing a potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not that she's an especially big part of it, but her reporter character Christine Everhart did have a couple of appearances in Iron Man and Iron Man 2. She is in fact returning, however it won't be in Captain America: Civil War or one of the larger Marvel films. Instead, she's part of the viral marketing campaign for Ant-Man.
A new viral video hosted by Everhart follows up on the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron before leading into a brief update on Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and his release from prison. It's a pretty harmless bit that doesn't amount to much, and it's curious they didn't just have her reporting for The Daily Bugle as she does in the comics. It would have been a small but cool tie-in to Spider-Man now that he's part of the MCU.
Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th.
