Perhaps distributor Atlas is waiting until the heat dies down on Grace of Monaco before pushing another film led by Nicole Kidman. There's still no release date set for Werner Herzog's sweeping Gertrude Bell biopic, Queen of the Desert, but with the release of a new extended trailer it's a good bet the film isn't far from hitting theaters.
Kidman stars alongside Robert Pattinson, James Franco, and Damian Lewis in telling the story of Bell, a prominent British explorer, politician, writer, archaeologist, and member of the British Secret Service. Bell's tremendous influence helped shape the future of the Middle East in the 1920s.
