While all of Marvel's heroes have flaws, some bigger than others, none of them are fresh out of prison like Ant-Man's Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). He's basically just a petty thief, but that particular skill set makes him valuable to Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), who needs him to steal something very important. The only problem? Lang isn't exactly the hero type, and he'd rather they just call the Avengers to do it.
That one mention of the Avengers is pretty important to the latest international Ant-Man trailer as Marvel REALLY wants audiences to remember these movies are connected. Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy, this film stands a little bit apart from the others, but when all is said and done everything is happening in the same universe, which is why Lang will be seen in next year's Captain America: Civil War.
Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th.
