Two Images from 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' Tease an Emotional Finale

The days leading up to Comic-Con are pretty much owned by everything that's headed to the event. Next up is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2, which hits Hall H on Thursday, July 9th and will feature some of the cast and new footage. For now, eager fans will have to settle for two photos courtesy of EW, showing a somber moment between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks). Here's the official synopsis:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.  The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

Director Francis Lawrence calls the finale the "most emotional" of the films yet, and also the one he considers the most satisfying. Sounds like a good way for the franchise to go out.
