Bryce Dallas Howard Digs Up 'Gold' with Matthew McConaughey

Following the massive $1B-grossing hit that was Jurassic World, Bryce Dallas Howard is slowing things down a little bit, meaning she won't be running from stampeding herds of dinosaurs in her next film. Instead she'll be on the hunt for precious metal alongside Matthew McConaughey in Gold, the next film from Syriana director, Stephen Gaghan.

Howard appears to be taking on the role that Michelle Williams had signed up for a couple of months ago. She joins Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell, Stacy Keach, Corey Stoll, and Bruce Greenwood in the film loosely based on the 1997 Bre-X mining scandal. She plays the supportive girlfriend to McConaughey's character, a struggling geologist who launches a desperate effort to find gold in the uncharted Indonesian jungles.

Gaghan won an Oscar for penning 2001's Traffic, and Gold is shaping up to be his ticket to even more gold. [Deadline]
