Michael B. Jordan in Talks for Vampire Buddy Comedy, 'Blood Brothers'

Maybe Michael B. Jordan figures if he keeps plugging away at this superhero thing, something will eventual work out?  The Chronicle star and Fantastic Four refugee is in early talks to star in Blood Brothers, an adaptation of the Dark Horse vampire comic created by Mike Gagerman, Andrew Waller and artist Evan Shaner.

In development for awhile, the script has been tackled by Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder) as well as Jurassic World duo Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, but apparently none of the drafts have turned out as MGM wants. A new writer will be sought to give it another go penning the story of vampire buddies Nick and Tree (Jordan), who have been inseparable for thousands of years. They've partied with some of history's greatest figures, but a midlife crisis threatens to tear their bromance apart. They're forced to patch things up and save the world when a megalomaniac with an apocalyptic fetish threatens to end the human race. The comedic tone has been described as Men in Black meets Ghostbusters.

This still seems to be in very early days as a co-star for Jordan has yet to be cast, and a writer/director has yet to be found. Next up for Jordan is the Rocky spinoff, Creed, which reunites him with Fruitvale Station director, Ryan Coogler. [The Tracking Board]
