Robert De Niro works for Anne Hathaway in new Trailer for 'The Intern'

Growing older is difficult enough, but growing older and feeling useless is far worse. In Nancy Meyers' new comedy, The Intern, Robert De Niro is a 70-year-old widower thrust back into the job market and faced with the challenge of starting on the ground floor with people a fraction of his age.

So while this is clearly the perfect setup for a broad fish-out-of-water comedy about aging, this trailer suggests a maturer effort. De Niro takes a job as an intern at an online fashion site well beyond his speed, but he forges an unlikely friendship with the company's founder (Anne Hathaway) that changes both of their lives. It's a nice change of pace for De Niro, getting him away from some of the terrible family comedies he's been a part of lately, and also for Hathaway who hasn't starred in a film this light since 2010's Love & Other Drugs.

Also starring Adam DeVine, Rene Russo, and Nat Wolff, The Intern opens September 25th.
