Trailer for Spirited Holiday Comedy 'Love the Coopers' with Ed Helms, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Keaton, and More

What would the holidays be without an honest-to-goodness family Christmas comedy? Pretty darned empty, that's what. And this year a gaggle of stars have come down the chimney for Love the Coopers, a film full of yuletide cheer and more than its share of family squabbles.

Starring *deep breath* Ed Helms, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, June Squibb, Marisa Tomei, Olivia Wilde, Jake Lacy, Anthony Mackie, Alan Arkin and John Goodman, the film is directed by Jesse Nelson, a producer who hasn't directed a film since 2001's I Am Sam with Sean Penn. Love the Coopers is about exactly what you think it's about, centering on multiple generations of the Cooper clan as they gather together for the holidays.  Here's the official synopsis:

LOVE THE COOPERS follows the Cooper clan as four generations of extended family come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration. As the evening unfolds, a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn to night upside down, leading them all toward a surprising rediscovery of family bonds and the spirit of the holiday.

Basically this looks like a more crowded version of The Family Stone, but it seems like harmless holiday fare. Love the Coopers opens on November 13th.
