Morten Tyldum to Direct Adaptation of Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None'

So while there haven't been a ton of Agatha Christie adaptations, her book And Then There Were None has been brought to the big and small screen in various ways more than a dozen times. Last year brought a VERY loose remake with the bullet-riddled and bloody Sabotage led by Arnold Schwarzenegger. But now a version that promises to be more traditional is on the way with The Imitation Game's Morten Tyldum set to direct.

According to Deadline, Tyldum will direct And Then There Were None based on a screenplay by Eric Eisserer, writer of The Thing remake. The story centers on ten guests invited to an isolated island by a mysterious host, who then proceeds to accuse each of them of murder. As their deepest, darkest secrets are revealed each guest begins to die until only one remains.

Apparently the version pitched to the Christie estate got them very excited for the project, so there may some twist we haven't previously seen. Next up for Tyldum is Passengers, the sci-fi romance starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. Think he'll try to lure one or both of them in for this, too? There are plenty of roles to go around, after all.
