'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Deleted Scene Takes Thor to the Norn Cave

One problem with Marvel having so many individual franchises is that it puts pressure on Joss Whedon's Avengers movies to set them up. Such was the case with Avengers: Age of Ultron, which was essentially the launching pad for the next phase of films, and began setting up Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War. That occurred in an edited and mostly unnecessary scene with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Dr. Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) in the Norn Cave.

A deleted scene now puts that moment in greater context, drawing an obvious connection with Loki's scepter and the powerful Mind Stone.  “It was never his, it is of the six, the infinite six cannot be joined or kept apart.”

This works better as a means of setting up future movies but it's easy to see why it was left out of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which you can pre-order on Blu-Ray/DVD now before release on October 2nd.
