We're less than a month away from the return of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, following a season in which they faced HYDRA, the Inhumans, and even SHIELD itself. So how can they possibly hope to top all of that in season three?
Chloe Bennett and Clark Gregg introduce a new sneak peek for the show's third season, in which Agent Coulson and his team go on the hunt for more super-powered beings. The Inhumans are going to continue playing a key role as Coulson learns his team aren't the only ones searching for them. Plus, it looks as if Skye has begun to accept her Inhuman heritage, embracing the name Daisy "Quake" Johnson. Mack (Henry Simmons) also seems to be taking on a bigger role in Coulson's group, perhaps because Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) is still injured and Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) is MIA.
Perhaps the most revealing aspect of this brief footage is the first look at Lash (Matthew Willig), a dangerous Inhuman who believes the bloodline must remain pure and will kill those he deems unworthy of the Terrigen Mists.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC on Tuesday, September 29th.
