There aren't many who can play bad guys quite as good as Vincent Cassel, which is why it's surprising Hollywood hasn't utilized him more. Fortunately, that's about to change, and his next villainous turn will see him reunited with his Ocean's Twelve castmate Matt Damon in Bourne 5.
Cassel is set to play an assassin tracking down Jason Bourne in the fifth film of the 'Bourne' franchise, the fourth to feature Damon in the lead role. Paul Greengrass is back to direct with Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, and Tommy Lee Jones co-starring in a story that takes place in a "post-Snowden" world. That's about all of the plot we've got so far, and really all that is needed given the conspiracy-within-conspiracy nature the stories tend to take.
Add Cassel to the list of great Bourne bad guys that includes Edgar Ramirez, Karl Urban, and Clive Owen. Bourne 5 opens July 29th 2016. [Variety]
