Things are really starting to look up for singer/actor Becky Gomez aka Becky G. Not only has she landed a recurring role as the sexy and talented Valentina on the hit Fox series, Empire, but now she's gained her biggest part yet in Power Rangers as the Yellow Ranger.
Gomez's casting completes the team of Dean Israelite's reboot of the hit TV series. Dacre Montogomery is the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott is the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin plays the Black Ranger, and RJ Cyler is probably the most well-known of all as the Blue Ranger.
Lionsgate has also confirmed that the original character names from the show: Kimberly, Trini, Jason, Billy, and Zack, will be used in the movie. That suggests it will be the reboot many expected it to be, and not a continuation of the current TV series as some rumors had suggested.
Power Rangers opens January 13th 2017.
