Jon Hamm has kept a fairly low big screen profile since Mad Men wrapped up its run earlier this year. He's got the Greg Mattola comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses coming up that pairs him up with Zach Galifianakis and Gal Gadot, but otherwise he's been choosy on what projects to take. According to The Wrap he's chosen his next move and it's joining Edgar Wright for his next film, Baby Driver.
Hamm will play one of the crime thriller's villains, a former Wall Street trader turned cop killer and bank robber. He'll be harassing star Ansel Elgort who plays a near deaf/mute getaway driver who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best. When a heist goes wrong and a crime boss starts making threats, he must face the music to save those he loves. Lily James plays Elgort's love interest while Jamie Foxx is the crime boss.
Baby Driver opens March 17th 2017.
