Natalie Portman Takes Aim in New 'Jane Got a Gun' Images

Maybe we have Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and upcoming The Hateful Eight to thank for it, but we are experiencing a revival of the Western genre. This year alone there have been multiple Westerns, such as The Salvation, Slow West, and The Keeping Room, with more on the way. One that promises to get a lot of attention is the long-developing Jane Got a Gun, and some new images from the Natalie Portman-led film have been rustled up.

By now you probably know the long and troubled journey this film has taken, so no point in going over it again. The final incarnation was directed by Gavin O'Connor, with co-stars  Joel Edgerton, Ewan McGregor, Noah Emmerich, Rodrigo Santoro and Boyd Holbrook. Portman plays a woman who turns to her gunslinging ex-lover when her husband is targeted by a gang of outlaws. 

Will the long wait and vast amount of problems have been worth it? Jane Got a Gun opens soon in France and hits theaters stateside next February.
