New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Poster and Teasers for Tomorrow's Trailer

Get ready, folks! Exactly two months from now scores of eager fans will be taking in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Some will have been in line for days by that point if prior history is any indication, but will this new trilogy make the wait worth it? That's the big question, and Lucasfilm isn't lowering any expectations with the release of the film's final poster, a trio of teasers, and an announcement of the next full trailer's arrival.

In an act of complete Disney synergy, Lucasfilm has announced that the next full trailer will arrive on Monday, October 19th, at halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, which begins at 8:15pm EST. If the latest footage is any example it will once again center on the new heroes played by Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac. Perhaps the most intriguing preview has Rey (Ridley) watching as a squadron of enemy Tie Fighters soars overhead. Where are they going? And is the poster really hinting at a brand new Death Star?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18th 2015.
