It's way too early to start thinking about Christmas. I turned on the radio and they were already touting their upcoming all-Christmas music block, which is just crazy to me. But it's never too early to start pushing those holiday movies, and one that could be a comedy gift is The Night Before, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anthony Mackie.
Directed by Jonathan Levine, the film centers on a trio of best buds who annually meet for a Christmas Eve bash. However, their lives are taking them in separate directions, and so they decide to end the tradition with one final blowout.
Levine found a nice balance between humor and heart with 50/50, which also starred Gordon-Levitt and Rogen, and he seems to be aiming to do the same here. Also starring Jillian Bell, Mindy Kaling, and Lizzy Caplan, The Night Before opens November 20th.
