It used to be that Bill Murray would pop up every couple of years in some unexpected project, but now he seems to be everywhere. Later this month we'll see him leading the musical comedy, Rock the Kasbah, and next year he'll return to the world of Ghostbusters for director Paul Feig. This holiday season there will be even more Murray as he'll lead Sofia Coppola's star-studded special, A Very Murray Christmas, and now a new trailer has arrived under the Christmas tree.
Directed and co-written by Coppola with help from Murray and Mitch Glazer (Scrooged), the special is absolutely jam packed with celebrity guests. George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones, Miley Cyrus, the band Phoenix and more will appear as themselves, just as Murray does. He's trying to mount a big international broadcast but when a snowstorm hits everything goes off the rails.
Netflix will stream A Very Murray Christmas on December 4th.
