Harry Potter who? J.K. Rowling is bringing the Wizarding World back to theaters and this time she's got an all new wizard ready his spell. Eddie Redmayne is playing magizoologist Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and EW has just revealed the first image of him, looking quite scholarly.
Scamander is the character at the center of Rowling's 2001 "textbook" that a young Harry Potter reads in class. The story takes place 70 years before Potter's birth, and follows Scamander as he travels New York cataloging the amazing creatures he encounters. Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, Colin Farrell, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, and Ron Perlman co-star in what is expected to be the first film in a trilogy.
Directed by Harry Potter veteran David Yates, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens November 18th 2016.
