First Trailer for Seth Rogen's 'Preacher' TV Series with Dominic Cooper

Seth Rogen is hardly the first person to try and adapt Garth Ennis' Preacher, but he's the first who is actually going to get it done. Joining up with Evan Goldberg, who he's worked with on Superbad, This Is the End, Pineapple Express and more, Rogen is looking to put his stamp on the small screen world with a series that guarantees to offend. And if it doesn't...well, then Rogen probably isn't doing something right.

Taking on the role of Jesse Custer is Dominic Cooper, who is bouncing around from his Marvel roles to this, which is decidedly more adult. Custer is a Texas preacher who becomes possessed by a supernatural power known as Genesis, which is borne from the unnatural union of an angel and a demon. It grants him the power to make anybody do what he wants, and he uses this power on a search to find God who has forsaken Heaven. Joining Custer on his journey are his ex-girlfriend Tulip, played by fellow Marvel alum Ruth Negga, and hard-drinking Irish vampire Cassidy, played by Joseph Gilgun.

Rogen and Goldberg will direct Preacher's pilot episode which arrives in 2016.
