The Trailer for 'Captain America: Civil War' Is Here!
"Sorry, Tony. You know I wouldn't do this if I had any other choice. But he's my friend."
"So was I."
And with those words, Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) set aside their brotherhood as Avengers and come to blows in Captain America: Civil War. The film has been kept under wraps pretty well since production wrapped, but all of that comes to an end now with the debut of the stunning trailer and a poster that sets the former friends on opposing sides. While much has been made about the plethora of Avengers that show up, not to mention new characters like Spider-Man and Black Panther, this trailer puts Cap's friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan), at the center of the conflict.
No longer brainwashed and killing people as the Winter Soldier, Bucky is being pursued by the government for the crimes he committed. But Cap isn't about to let his friend go down, and with the institution of a registration act for superheroes he's about to go to war against those he once called allies. Not only do we get a couple of brief looks at Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), but this footage is almost all action, including a fight between Cap, Bucky, and Iron Man.
Directed by the Russo Brothers and co-starring Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, William Hurt as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Captain America: Civil War opens May 6th 2016.
