Bill Murray owes us some good tidings and yuletide cheer after the pock mark that was Rock the Kasbah, and hopefully that's what he'll deliver this week when A Very Murray Christmas hits Netflix. Directed by Sofia Coppola, which is itself a strange little point, it's a Christmas comedy special that has Murray putting on a classic-style variety show with a host of celebrity guest stars.
The latest trailer presents itself in the form of those Time Life commercials that come on late at night (I always see the one for Conway Twitty), and features George Clooney, Maya Rudolph, Miley Cyrus, and more singing their hearts out. This one looks like a lot of fun, and maybe it will become something Netflix looks to recreate on an annual basis. Here's the synopsis:

Set inside New York City’s iconic Carlyle hotel, A Very Murray Christmas opens with Murray preparing to host a live, international holiday broadcast. After a blizzard shuts down the production, he makes the best of the situation by singing and celebrating with friends, hotel employees and anyone else who drops by.
Featuring Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Rashida Jones, and Phoenix, A Very Murray Christmas hits Netflix on December 4th.
