George Clooney's 'Suburbicon' Adds Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, and Josh Brolin

Over the weekend many got to see George Clooney as part of the small army of celebrity pals Bill Murray gathered for Netflix's A Very Murray Christmas, but Clooney has plenty of friends of his own to call upon. And not surprisingly he's dialing them up for his next directorial effort, the Coen Brothers-penned noir Suburbicon.

According to Deadline, Matt Damon (Monuments Men), Julianne Moore (Far from Heaven, which Clooney produced), and Josh Brolin (Hail, Caesar!) have joined the film's cast. It's kind of hard to decipher their roles since so little about the film has been revealed except that it's a '50s-set crime movie in the vein of Blood Simple.

Whatever the film is ultimately about, Clooney is packing it with enough star power that it may not matter.  Shooting begins late next year so a 2017 debut is likely.
