Hilarious, Rapid Fire NSFW Trailer for 'The Nice Guys' with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe

Having made his name in the '80s writing the constant back-and-forth in Lethal Weapon, Shane Black knows a thing or two about witty banter. His film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was another two-man-show, while Black incorporated a similar dynamic in Iron Man 3. Black's writing has made him a cult favorite, and his fans are going to love the silly interactions between Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in The Nice Guys, which has just debuted its first red band trailer.

The R-rated film, which Black calls a "spiritual sequel" to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, follows a hired goon and a down 'n out private eye as they try to figure out whether a porn star really committed suicide in 1970s L.A. There are a ton of F-bombs here, but the dialogue is rapid fire and both stars light on their feet in delivering it. Basically you can tell this is a Shane Black movie in the first ten seconds. Here's how he described the film recently to People Magazine...

"It is an R-rated film and it’s a caper. It’s a little fast, a little funny and a little rough in places, kind of coarse. These guys are working-class dudes, they’re not really sophisticated private detectives, so it’s a chance to do the kind of thriller I don’t see too much of anymore.”

The Nice Guys hits theaters on May 20th 2016 and co-stars Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, and Margaret Qualley.
