New 'Deadpool' Poster Has Ryan Reynolds Getting Cheeky

Forget what happened with Fantastic Four because 20th Century Fox are looking to make amends with Deadpool. The marketing for the R-rated "superhero" flick have been spot-on, capturing the Merc-with-a-Mouth's irreverent attitude and totally nutso way of thinking. Give credit also to Ryan Reynolds, who is familiar with playing smart-ass heroes after his Hannibal King turn in Blade: Trinity, for fighting to get the film made in a way that fans of Deadpool will appreciate. And it continues with the latest poster which is pretty damn great.

 “Bad Ass. Smart Ass. Great Ass.”

What more needs to be said? It captures the tone of the character perfectly, and who's going to argue that Reynolds has a great bod? So what will the mouthy merc be up to? Honestly, we don't really know much except it will deal in some way with Deadpool's origins and that he'll encounter the X-Men, specifically Colossus (now played by Andre Tricoteux) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). Gotham's Morena Baccarin also stars as Deadpool's gal, Vanessa; Gina Carano is Angel Dust; Ed Skrein plays the villain Ajax; TJ Miller is Deadpool's best friend and tech guy Weasel; and Leslie Uggams is Blind Al, Deadpool's captive/roommate. 

Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool opens on February 12th.
