"Controversial" 'Captain America: Civil War' Ending Teased; Another Marvel Character Confirmed

Just how important will Captain America: Civil War be to the future of the MCU? Considering nearly every Avenger will appear, and they'll be fighting one another as part of an ideological war, it's safe to say it will be key. According to directors Joe and Anthony Russo in the latest issue of Empire, the film's impact will be far-reaching, and may just divide audiences.

Joe Russo says, "The consequences of Civil War will have an even more significant impact [than The Winter Soldier]. In Civil War, we're going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Psychology, and it's an extreme shift."

Anthony would then chime in to add that audiences can look forward to a "very dramatic ending that will be controversial for a lot of people."

Controversial? In the MCU? Considering how down-the-middle most of these movies have played, that's a little surprising to hear. Does that mean a major hero could be biting the dust? Rumors have swirled for some time that it could be Cap himself, given what happens to him at the end of the 'Civil War' comics storyline.

With Iron Man playing such a pivotal role in the film, it makes sense that his lover/business partner Pepper Potts would be making an appearance. The magazine confirms Gwyneth Paltrow was brought in to be part of some recent reshoots. This is the first we've seen of the crimson-haired Potts since Iron Man 3, in which she actually donned the Iron Man suit herself.
