Emily Ratajkowski Joins 'In Darkness', Keith Stanfield To 'Get Out', Adepero Oduye Joins 'The Dinner'
"Blurred Lines" breakout Emily Ratajkowski continues to build on her acting career following decent performances in Gone Girl, Entourage, and We Are Your Friends. She's joined Natalie Dormer's psychological revenge thriller, In Darkness, which also co-stars Deadpool's Ed Skrein. Directed by Anthony Byrne who co-wrote the script with Dormer, the film centers on a blind musician (Dormer) who hears a murder being committed in the apartment above her, and gets pulled into London's dark underbelly. Ratajkowski plays the antagonist's daughter. [Deadline]
Keith Stanfield, last seen as Snoop Dogg in Straight Outta Compton, has added yet another film to his jam packed schedule. He'll join Jordan Peele's horror, Get Out, which the comedian wrote and will direct. The film centers on an African-American man who runs into trouble while visiting his Caucasian girlfriend's family estate. He joins the previously cast Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener, Allison Williams, Daniel Kaluuya, Caleb Landry Jones, Lil Rel Howery and Betty Gabriel.
Adepro Oduye, who has sadly been overlooked for her performance in The Big Short, has joined yet another starry ensemble. She's come aboard Oren Moverman's adaptation of The Dinner, based on the best-selling book by Herman Koch. The film has already begun filming and stars oRichard Gere, Rebecca Hall, Steve Coogan, Laura Linney, and Chloe Sevigny. The story centers on a tense family meeting over dinner to decide what to do about their children who have committed a violent act captured on film. [Deadline]
