Jessica Chastain Could Play 'Molly's Game' For Aaron Sorkin
Aaron Sorkin has written his share of Oscar worthy screenplays, from The Social Network to Moneyball, but one thing he hasn't done is get behind the camera himself. That's changing with his directorial debut, Molly's Game, and now he's decided on an actress who will get to be the face of it.
According to The Wrap, Jessica Chastain has been offered the lead role in the film, which is based on Molly Bloom's memoir. Bloom was an athlete and law student who ended up running the most elite, high stakes poker game in Hollywood until the feds came in and shut her down.
No word on when this would roll as it's all depending on whether Chastain can fit it into her busy schedule. Sorkin's awards pedigree speaks for itself, and chances are Chastain will move mountains to work with him.
