New 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Poster Features The Next Generation Of X-Men
We've seen Apocalypse's Four Horsemen, now take a look at Charles Xavier's X-Men in the new poster for X-Men: Apocalypse. Just as the villain-centered image featured Michael Fassbender's Magneto in the spotlight, this one has Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique leading the new generation of young mutants.
James McAvoy, fully chrome-domed, oversees them all as Xavier, with Nicholas Hoult as the Beast, Evan Peters a Quicksilver, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. Unfortunately they couldn't find room to fit in Lana Condor as Jubilee or the returning Lucas Till a Havok. So how are these characters suddenly so much younger? Thanks the continuity-altering conclusion of X-Men: Days of Future Past, which basically hit the reset button the entire franchise.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27th, and could lead to a brand new X-Men series of films. What's interesting is that we really have no idea where the franchise goes from here, and hopefully 20th Century Fox will hold on to that mystery a while longer.
