There's Now A Teaser For 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Deleted Scenes

It used to be that deleted scenes were a very rare thing. Remember how many years it took for George Lucas to release extra footage from his original Star Wars movies? Now the deleted footage is announced months in advance as part of the upcoming home release editions, and in the case of Star Wars: The Force Awakens they are teased over the course of days as if they are a feature film unto themselves.

Disney has dropped a teaser for the deleted footage that will be on the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack arriving in a couple of weeks. Details on them were revealed yesterday, and now they also have titles such as “Finn and the Villager,” “Jakku Message,” “X-Wings Prepare for Lightspeed,” “Kylo Searches The Falcon,” “Snow Speeder Chase,” and “Finn Will Be Fine”.

But let's keep it real: trailers for deleted footage is pretty stupid, and shows the extent to which everything must be hyper-marketed to the fullest possible extent. Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives on Blu-Ray/DVD on April 5th, preceded by the digital version on April 1st.
