Trailer For HBO's 'All The Way' Has Bryan Cranston As LBJ, Anthony Mackie As MLK
HBO has had a pretty good working relationship with Jay Roach, who used to be known strictly for comedies but directed the hot-button political dramas Recount and Game Change for the network. Now he's back under their umbrella again for a film that couldn't be coming at a better time; All the Way, which stars Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon B. Johnson and Anthony Mackie as Martin Luther King, Jr.
Cranson is reprising his Tony-winning role as Johnson, with the film centering on his tumultuous first year in office following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. On his plate is the controversial Civil Rights Act which threatens to not only divide his Party but the entire country. The script was written by Robert Schenkkan, adapting his own stage play. Melissa Leo, Stephen Root, Bradley Whitford, and Frank Langella co-star.
All the Way airs on HBO Saturday, May 21st at 8pm. Check out the trailer below!
