With Cannes getting underway we're seeing the usual flurry of announcements and attachments, and one project that is moving along quickly is Logan Lucky. Earlier today Riley Keough joined Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon in Steven Soderbergh's return to the big screen, but now there's been a key change at the top with Adam Driver coming aboard.
Driver's joining the cast comes with the unfortunate news that Shannon has had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Likely it has to do with Guillermo Del Toro's Cold War-era romance he recently signed on to. On the plus side, Seth MacFarlane is in talks for Soderbergh's film about a pair of brothers who attempt a major heist during a NASCAR race.
A fall shoot is planned assuming everything comes together as expected, and given Soderbergh's speed we may not have to wait long to see it. [Deadline]
