Asa Butterfield Returns From Mars In 'The Space Between Us' Trailer With Gary Oldman And Britt Robertson
Remember Ender's Game? Yeah, me neither. Just kidding, but obviously the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's undeniable classic was less than impressive. It doesn't seem to have fazed star Asa Butterfield, though, who is looking to head right back out into deep space with The Space Between Us, which has just launched its first trailer.
Butterfield is joined by Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland) and Gary Oldman in the film about the first human born on Mars who journeys to Earth to experience the world. He also sets out to find his birth father, and in the process falls in love with a Colorado girl he's been chatting with online. Carla Gugino, B.D. Wong, and Janet Montgomery co-star, with Peter Chelsom (Hector and the Search for Happiness) directing from an Allan Loeb script.
This looks pretty great to me, although I'm concerned it will get lost on that August 19th release date. Check out the trailer and some images below courtesy of STX Entertainment, who are quickly becoming my new favorite banner.
