First Trailer For Sundance Midnight Film 'Carnage Park' Starring Ashley Bell

I love Ashley Bell. Have I not said that before? The best thing about both of those The Last Exorcism flicks, Bell has proven to be game for just about anything. But she seems to have a particular love for horror and genre films in general, and it's probably what attracted her Carnage Park, which debuted earlier this year at Sundance as a Midnight selection.

Try as I might, this is one I couldn't fit into my schedule and it's been a regret ever since. Now that the trailer is out I'm regretting it even more because it looks like the kind of pulpy ride I love. Directed by Mickey Keating, the '70s-set story stars Bell as a woman held captive by two criminals after a botched bank heist. Things go from bad to worse when they get caught in a game of cat and mouse with a deranged former military sniper played by Pat Healy, who you'll recognize from genre films The Innkeepers and Cheap Thrills.

Carnage Park hits theaters and VOD on April 1st. Can't wait, and hopefully I can snag another interview with Bell to talk about it.
