Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad, and today is one of those days for Charlize Theron. The big celebrity gossip story of the day involves the icy reunion of Theron with her former love, Sean Penn, while at Cannes for the premiere of his latest directorial effort, The Last Face. The film has been almost universally trashed in the early reviews, making the encounter even more awkward. Fortunately for Theron today wasn't all bad, because the first image of her as the villain in Fast 8 has arrived, and it's a film that is guaranteed to receive a brighter reception.
Theron can be seen in her role as Cipher, sporting Metallica threads and standing alongside a stockpile of weapons. Those guns are likely to aimed directly at Vin Diesel and crew, who will survive long enough to star in two more Fast & Furious films before moving on to other spinoffs and sequels. Other than that, we don't know much about the plot except that it will take the gang around the globe, from Iceland to New York.
