To get a sense of how late into production a CGI-heavy film like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows can be reworked, just look at the character of Krang. The popular TMNT villain was originally voiced by Fred Armisen, but as of yesterday we know that has been changed and now it will be Brad Garrett. That's a pretty big swap with the film only a couple of months away from opening, and explains why Krang doesn't have anything to say in the latest trailer.
The new trailer, the second one released this month, features bit of new footage that mostly center on the Turtles skydiving out of a plane. We also see more of Stephen Amell as the sports-inspired vigilante Casey Jones, Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Brian Tee as Shredder, plus Sheamus and Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop and Rocksteady. Too bad we aren't seeing more of Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, but something tells me that's being held back intentionally.
Directed by David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows opens June 3rd.
