Marvel's done a pretty good job of lining up veteran actors for roles in their cinematic universe. Glenn Close, Julie Delpy, Robert Redord, Michael Douglas, John C. Reilly, Anthony Hopkins...they've all found a place in the house that Marvel built, and now we may be able to add Sharon Stone to that list.
Stone, who can be seen this week in Mothers and Daughters (review of that here), appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden (via KTIC Radio) and revealed, much to the surprise of everyone including guest star Sebastian Stan, that she has a small role in an upcoming Marvel movie.
"I’m just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can’t tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements. But I’m going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That’s it.”
Of course, she could be referring to a non-Disney Marvel film, like an X-Men flick at 20th Century Fox. Does the sexy Basic Instinct star know the difference?
Perfect scenario? A Basic Instinct reunion with Michael Douglas in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Is there any reason she can't play Janet Van Dyne?
