So how much do we actually know about The Woods (not to be confused with The Forest, which you probably forgot about already), the latest thriller from You're Next and The Guest director, Adam Wingard? Practically nothing up to this point, but that has changed, just a tiny bit, with the release of the first trailer, although much of the mystery remains.
Starring a bunch of people you couldn't identify in a police lineup, the film follows a group of campers lost in the woods, and of course some seriously bad mojo goes down. Why do people go into the woods at all? My man Leo Fitzpatrick has it right...
So this teaser doesn't reveal much, which may actually be a good thing. Wingard's films are always full of surprises so let's hope nothing gets spoiled. The Woods stars James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid and Wes Robinson, opening on September 16th.
