A Howling Commando Is Joining Marvel's 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
Marvel must really love Kenneth Choi. It's extremely rare for actors to play different roles within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the only instance I can think of being Laura Haddock, who played Star-Lord's mom in Guardians of the Galaxy and Steve Rogers' fan in Captain America: The First Avenger. So that would make Choi only the second to earn that distinction as he's joined Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Choi played Howling Commando Jim Morita in 'The First Avenger' and ABC's Agent Carter series, but he'll take on an entirely new role in the upcoming Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland. He'll play Peter Parker's high school principal, which means he'll be trying to survive a very different kind of battlefield, one full of pimply-faced teenagers with superpowers. Or probably just one with superpowers, this isn't Sky High.
Directed by Jon Watts and co-starring Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya Coleman, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri, and Laura Harrier, Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th 2017.
